Join us for the CUWP 2010 Summer Institute

Recharge your batteries! Join teachers from K-16 and all content areas for a four-week Monday-Thursday summer experience. During the institute, teachers demonstrate best practice, read and discuss research, write and respond to others’ writing.

When: Mondays through Thursdays, June 21 through July 15, 2010 (8:30am - 3:30pm)

Where: Alpine School District Professional Development Center (American Fork, UT)

The application deadline is February 16, 2010. Applications are available in PDF format or in MS Word format.

What do we do during Summer Institute?

Although some days might involve guest presenters, a typical day during Summer Institute could look like this:

8:30     Free-write/Share

9:00     Log: Review of previous day

9:15     Demonstration Lesson

10:15   De-briefing

10:30   Break

10:45   Reading groups

12:00   Lunch

12:45   Demonstration Lesson

1:45     Debriefing

2:00     Break

2:15     Writing Groups
