Previous Institutes
Our Summer Institute, the inaugural institute for the CUWP, was a huge success. Teachers learned many valuable things from each other as they shared best teaching practices during workshop sessions. They also participated in a number of presentations from recognized experts in the field of writing that illuminated more best practices. Perhaps most importantly, teachers learned a lot from engaging in the practice of writing for themselves, in workshopping that writing with fellow institute attendees, and in sharing that writing in the online e-anthology sponsored by the National Writing Project. We've included here some video and pictures from the 2009 institute, but those only go so far in recreating the amazing experiences we had during these weeks--to really experience the institute you should apply to join our 2010 Summer Institute!
