Books for Young Readers
Each summer, BYU hosts a Symposium on Books for Young Readers. Meet and learn from some of your favorite authors and illustrators in the children’s and YA literature community. There will be book signings, book giveaways, readings, and dinner with a keynote author. While CUWP is not a sponsor of this event, we encourage our fellows and teachers interested in learning more about children’s literature, including finding ways to include it in your classroom literacy instruction, to attend. Details can be found on the conference website linked on the button below.

Utah Council of Teachers of English (UCTE) Conference
Each winter, the Utah Council of Teachers of English (UCTE) hosts a conference for Utah English/ELA teachers and other educators interested in the teaching of writing, reading, and literacies. CUWP fellows often submit proposals for and present at this conference; we encourage our fellows to collaborate with colleagues from their schools and/or with CUWP fellows at other schools to propose and present on topics rooted in their classroom-based research as a way to build the professional conversations about writing teaching in our state.
